Beer Stone -reclaimed from a demolished church in Torquay.
These pieces attempt to honour their many memories and histories. As a church, evident through visible architectural features, they have been part of worship, belief, people, community, celebration, grief, prayer and grandeur. There is an even more magnificent history, however, in their journey through the ages. Remembering the mountains and rivers of forgotten landscapes within their very essence. The water washed shapes and forms are their transition back to nature who is able to see further into the past than we can remember and further into the future than we will survive.
